African student beaten with chains in St. Petersburg


In St. Petersburg unknown persons beat an African student of the Polytechnical Institute, as announces �Interfax� referring to the Administration of Internal Affairs of the Kalininsky district.

It�s the third attack on forgeign students of this university since the beginning of October.

According to a police staff member, the attack on the African student was committed by unknown persons near the metro station �Grazhdansky prospekt� in the North of the city on Wednesday night. The student was deliverd to hospital with �serious physical injuries�.

At present the name and citizenship of the student are being ascertained.

Some days ago on Grazhdansky prospekt three unknown persons beat a student from Kongo, who also studied at the Polytechnical Institute. The student was delivered to hospital with a craniocerebral trauma; the offenders escaped.

On October 13th Vu Anh Tuan, first year student at the Polytechnical Institute from Vietnam, was knifed by a group of unknown persons.
