International organization for election observation leaves Lvov because of threat against its staff members


A mission of the international organization for the monitoring of elections in the CIS states CIS emo left the Lviv region (Ukraine) because of continuing threats against its staff members. The group has arrived in Kiev. As announced to ITAR-TASS the leader of the mission,Aleksei Kochetkov, the Lviv oblast is not prepared for conducting the presidential elections on October 31st. In more than half of the electoral districts electoral registers have not been checked; and in 32 districts no one is working at all. The presidential elections in the Ukraine will be monitored by more than 180 members of CIS emo.
