Office of Public Prosecutor of the region of Rostov granted the request of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation

In May of this year the director of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation Ashot Airapetian wrote a letter to the Office of Public Prosecutor of the region of Rostov to Anatolij Chorykovskij.

We have come to know that in Rostov-on-Don the president of the Azerbaijan National-Cultural Autonomy, Mustafaev Vagif Razaevich, has been taken under guard, - wrote Airapetian. - We know Vagif Mustafaev very well. He participated more than once in seminars and conferences that were organized by the Center for Interethnic Cooperation. The fact that the chief of National-Cultural Autonomy was arrested is unprecedented in the history of contemporary Russia. This arrest casts a shadow not only on Vagif Mustafaev, but also on the Institute of National-Cultural Autonomy and on the mechanism of interaction between the government and national communities. The Center for Interethnic Cooperation is asking you to take under your personal care the penal pursuit of Vagif Mustafaev, in order to avoid any possible mistake on the side of the law-enforcement organs of the region of Rostov.

We must emphasise, that his wife and his brothers-in-arms think that the penal pursuit against Vagif is fabricated by investigators of the May First Office of Domestic Affairs of the city of Rostov.

The chief of the First Office of the Department, who supervises the investigation of crimes of the Office of the Public Prosecutor of the region of Rostov the 21st of June has sent a letter to the Center for Interethnic Cooperation, in which they report that the penal pursuit of Vagif Mustafaev is under the control of the Prosecutor of the city of Rostov.
