An Exchange of Migrant Labor Vacancies to be Created in Moscow

Yuri Arhipov, deputy chief of management for the Moscow inter-regional and national policy communications committee, stated that capital authorities plan to create a special exchange of vacancies for visiting migrant workers.

It was proposed that all wishing to find work in Moscow can learn, through a database, about available vacancies and transfer all necessary information about qualifications. It would then be possible to wait for a call about work, not having arrived in Russia.

From one to three million migrants work in Russia now. Next year, 6 million citizens of the CIS will be authorized to work.
