Another attack in Voronezh: African assaulted by a group of eight persons

According to preliminary information, a group of eight persons took part in the attack against an African student in Voronezh. Two persons were arrested, as announced Galina Gorshkova, assistant of the oblast Public Prosecutor. The other six are being searched for.

The attack against the Kenyan citizen Rakhman Salim was committed on October 10th in one of the central streets of Voronezh. A group of young people attacked the African “out of hooligan motives” and started to beat him unmercifully.

A police unit arriving in time was able to arrest two of the hooligans. The participation of one of them was confirmed, concerning the second one the investigation is still going on. (…) A criminal act according to article 213, criminal code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed by a group of persons) has been instituted. As ITAR-TASS announces, the investigation is lead under the control of the Voronezh oblast office of public prosecution.

This is the third attack against students from Africa in Voronezh this year. In February Amaru Antoninu Lima from Guinea-Bissau, student at the medical academy, was killed by three young people.
