We shall cut a new window to Europe for representatives of ethnic organizations

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation and the international human rights organization UNITED organized an educational visit to Holland from the 17th to the 25th of March for young leaders of ethnic organizations (Azerbaijani, Armenian, Georgian, Ossetian, Adyghe, Polish, Veps, Tatar, Tadjik, German and Jewish). They represent several cities in Russia: Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Krasnodar, Smolensk, Astrakhan, Perm, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Samara and Pyatigorsk. The goal of the trip is to learn from the experience of the European Network against Racism and Xenophobia. The program will include a visit to the Amsterdam Bureau for the Fight against Discrimination, the Anne Frank foundation, the Resistance Museum and the Augustaschacht memorial to the victims of fascism in the German city of Osnabruck. The visit is part of the project The Utilization Network for Ethnic Associations Opposing Xenophobia in Russia. The educational seminar is financed by the European Unions partner organization Tacis, which helps fund institutional development projects.
