Moscow: police uncover illegal registration of migrants

The Criminal Investigation Department stopped the activities of a company who arranged the legalization of illegal migrants. This announcement was made on Friday by a staff member of the capitals law enforcement agencies.

Seven people were arrested; the search of their office and apartments uncovered falsified blanks for registration in Moscow, migration cards, work permits for CIS citizens and even official stamps of visa departments and FSB border departments, said the staff member.

Two organizers of the illegal business will remain in police custody; the others have been released after agreeing not to leave the area.
