A Resident of Buryatia is Killed

On the night of October 8th, 2007, on Lobanova Street in Moscow, a resident of Buryatia was attacked. An unidentified person cruelly began to beat the victim, and then concealed himself. The victim was hospitalized in one of the capital clinics with damage to the base of his skull, where he died from wounds his attacker inflicted.

October 16th, a 21 year-old student of the Moscow Sate Open University, who was suspected of the attack, was detained by law-enforcement agencies.

Police have not yet commented on the motive for the attack.
