International Youth Camp in Anapa


The Center for Interethnic Cooperation is running an international youth camp in Anapa, on the coast of the Black sea, from 10 August until 20 August 2006.

The program offers the following opportunities:

You can gain new leadership skills through workshops on the themes:

  • How to become a successful trainer for youth organizations
  • Effective teamwork
  • New technologies and benefits of working as a part of the Network of Youth Organization
  • Practical experience of working with youth organizations in Russia and abroad
  • Experience of the culture and traditions of the Krasnodar region
  • An opportunity to relax
  • Entertainment program
  • Chance to improve Russian language skills (for foreigners) and English language skills (for Russians)

This is the fifth year that the Center for Interethnic Cooperation has organized workshops and conferences in Anapa. In the past, these camps have been extremely successful and the feedback from participants has been excellent. The support of the administration of the Krasnodar region has played a significant role in the success of our activities. Skilled trainers and volunteers of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation from England, Austria, Germany and Poland will take part in the work of the camp.

Anapa: In recent years Anapa has become a popular holiday destination among both Russians and foreigners. Attractions of the area include: low prices, warm sea, a wide variety of cafes and restaurants serving Russian, European, Caucasian, Chinese and other national cuisines, and the friendliness of locals towards visitors. All this ensures a wonderful atmosphere in which to hold the International youth summer camp.

Leisure:

Besides the training program, participants will have the opportunity to take part in:

  • Trips to Krasnodar and meetings with the leaders of local youth organizations and the Center for Ethnic Culture in Krasnodar
  • Excursions to The Assyrian village of Urmya
  • Evening cruise on a steam-boat
  • Excursion to a mud volcano on the Tamanski peninsula
  • And lots more �

Accommodation: Participants will live in comfortable double rooms with shower, bathroom, TV and refrigerator. Two meals will be provided per day plus two coffee breaks. Workshops will take place in air conditioned halls. Foreign visitors will be given help with organizing registration.

Transport: Anapa has a modern airport which operates domestic flights to a number of cities in Russia; there are also several flights daily from Moscow to Anapa. The center will arrange for foreign participants to be met on their arrival in Moscow, and will provide support in traveling to Anapa by air or rail. Departure from Anapa will also be organized. The flight from Moscow to Anapa is only 1 hour and 40 minutes and from the airport to the city takes around 20 minutes by car. This transfer will be arranged by the Center for foreigners and citizens of Russia arriving in Anapa.
