“Development of the Network of Interethnic Organizations for the Opposition of Racism in Russia”

At the moment the network is supported by the project “Development of the Network of Interethnic Organizations for the Opposition of Racism in Russia”. The project is carried out by the Center for Interethnic Cooperation and the European-wide Network UNITED for Intercultural Action.

The project was supported by the European Union (Tacis Institution Building Partnership Programme IBPP - Russia), the Charles Stuart Mott Fund and the governing bodies of the Samara, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk regions.

Within the framework of this project there were conferences in Anapa and Perm and training sessions in Tolyatti, Yaroslavl, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Astrakhan and Pyatigorsk. Representatives from twelve regions of Russia, and of youth ethnic and other organizations, took part in these events.

The most involved members of the training sessions (the representatives of social organizations) took part in a visit to Holland.

The young representatives of social organizations took part in international conferences which UNITED carried out in Switzerland, Spain and will carry out Azerbaijan.

Posters in English and Russian are printed and distributed free of charge to Russian NGO’s.
