 В столице Катара, Дохе, с 9 по 13 декабря прошел Форум Альянса цивилизаций ООН. Я смог принять участие в Форуме благодаря поддержке российского благотворительного Фонда Горчакова, который взял на себя основную часть командировочных расходов. Раньше я никогда не слышал про Доху, но хорошо знал, что восток - дело тонкое, и не удивлялся, что до последнего момента у меня не было ни визы, ни программы Форума. На сайте Форума организаторы написали, что всю информацию мы получим в Дохе, в аэропорту. Там меня ждал первый сюрприз. Я сидел в хвостовой части авиалайнера и, когда открыли второй выход я, вместе с другими пассажирами, сел в автобус, и нас повезли в аэропорт. Там выяснилось, что я нахожусь в терминале для транзитных пассажиров. Я думал, что доехать до нужного терминала будет проблематично, но... первый же местный служащей посадил нас в автобус и отправил куда надо.
From 10th to 16th May two educational trips to Italy and Malta took place under the Russian-Italian project “Strengthening of the role of women-immigrants and women of ethnic minorities to overcome discrimination”. In this article I will tell you about Milan and the positive experiences the 12 participants of the project made in the field of overcoming discrimination because of signs of sex and ethnicity in different spheres of life. On the 10th of May we gathered at the office of the Centre and, having finished all organizational aspects, went on Aeroexpress to Sheremetyevo-2, did not manage it without adventures as one participant was late, but in the end everything ended well. Then a long four-hour flight to the airport “Malpensa” in Milan followed. Because of the time difference we landed at 22.10. We met a Russian-speaking man who brought the whole group to the hotel “Ariston”. It was Sunday and by the time we arrived at the hotel, as the ordinary Italian does not want to eat any more and as it was a work day the next morning, practically all institutions where you can have a snack were already closed and we, slightly frustrated about this, went to sleep to finally hear and see about all that we went there for on the morning of the next day.
Two study-trips to Amsterdam took place in March, 2007 as part of the project “Development of a Network of Ethnic Organizations for Opposing Xenophobia in Russia”. Organized by the Center for Interethnic Cooperation in partnership with UNITED - the European network against nationalism, racism and fascism and in support of migrants and refugees. In all, twenty people from various Russian cities took part; Moscow, Astrakhan, Perm, Krasnodar, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Smolensk and Pyatigorsk were represented. The trip participants were youth who work in different ethnic organizations from all over Russia, in addition to four representatives from the Center for Interethnic Cooperation. The fundamental goal of both trips was to provide youth with the possibility to familiarize themselves with the work of European non-governmental organizations and with the (to them yet unknown) methods of work in the sphere of opposition to any manifestations of discrimination, xenophobia and the fight for equal rights. Above all, the exchange of experience and gaining new awareness are what we consider to be central goals of the project, since it is precisely youth that is its main receptive audience. It was extremely important for them to have the ability to see how the concrete practical methods of their colleagues work. And not only of those who work in Russia (to achieve this goal, in the framework of the project trainings in different regions of Russia are organized, reports on which can be found at our website), but also of the representatives of European NGOs. In addition, the groups were organized so as to make it possible for the biggest number possible of organizations from different Russian regions to participate. Thanks to that, the information acquired was able to reach further, to colleagues of the young people who took part in the educational trip to the Netherlands. As part of the framework of the study-trips, participants visited various non-governmental organizations opposing racism, anti-Semitism, fascism and all other forms of discrimination, organizations which also worked to support migrants, refugees and representatives of different minorities; took part in the trainings and discussions. Лондон нас встретил обилием снега и шквальным ветром. Как говорили англичане - нам сильно «повезло». Такая погода бывает здесь очень редко. У большинства жителей Лондона вообще отсутствуют теплые вещи в российском понимании. Так что обильный снегопад в нашу честь вызвал большое удивление у местных жителей. Странно смотрелась зеленая трава и цветы, накрытые снегом. Но, что удивительно, нигде не было слякоти и луж, а на следующий день, снег растаял. Не было грязи, прилипающей к ботинкам, поскольку и зимой и летом по всей Великобритании нет пыли. Это просто другая цивилизация. Здесь другие стандарты.
Общение с этой цивилизацией началось еще в Москве, когда с помощью Политического отдела Посольства Великобритании мы получили визу в течение 3-х дней. Обычно для получения этих виз требуется 10 дней. Пикантность ситуации состояла в том, что несколько человек из нашей делегации не только никогда не были за рубежом, но и получили загранпаспорт за неделю до отъезда. В таких случаях, обычно, Консульство приглашает на собеседование. Для некоторых участников нашей делегации это означало бы отказ от поездки, поскольку они жители Краснодарского края, к тому же один из них - полковник ГУВД, и без специального разрешения его никто бы не отпустил в Москву. Это не первый раз, когда посольство Великобритании идет нам навстречу. Двадцать процентов расходов по проекту «Этнические меньшинства и доступ к правосудию», в рамках которого состоялся этот визит, профинансировано Фондом глобальных возможностей МИД Великобритании. |
