Organizational support of national communities

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation tries to create new organizational opportunities for the national communities of Russia.

  • The majority of the conferences and trainings of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation were held in comfortable guest houses in the countryside where you can not only successfully work, but also have a good rest. As a result of our activities the leaders of national organizations established informal relations with each other and also with representatives of the authorities, the militia and the migration service.

  • With projects of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation, representatives of national associations of Moscow, Astrakhan, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Pyatigorsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Samara, Smolensk and Yaroslavl visited London, Amsterdam, Milan and Malta to familiarize with the activities of local non-governmental organizations.

  • With projects of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation representatives of national associations could communicate with experts from Great Britain, USA, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland and Finland.

  • The Center for Interethnic Cooperation held press conferences for journalists in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Pyatigorsk, Samara and Yaroslavl to discuss problems of national minorities. As a rule, they were attended by representatives of local national associations.

    The Center for Interethnic Cooperation conducted joint projects and activities with the Center for National Culture in Krasnodar, the Assembly of Nations in Yaroslavl, the Georgian National-Cultural Center and the International Azerbaijan Forum in Novosibirsk, the Union of Armenians of Russia and the Armenian National-Cultural Autonomy in Pyatigorsk, the Society of Tajik Culture “Somon” and the Gipsy organization “Roma of Ural” in Yekaterinburg, the Jan Cherskiy Association of Belarusian Culture Irkutsk, the League of Azerbaijani of Samarsk Oblast, the Hebrew organizations “Tzvi Hirsch” in Nizhniy Novgorod and “Marom” in Moscow, the German National-Cultural Autonomy of Astrakhan and the Dagestan organization “Land of mountains” in Krasnoyarsk.

  • The Center for Interethnic Cooperation provided financial and informational support to

    the Center of National Culture in Krasnodar for the development of their site and the connection to Internet of all the computers in the facilities of the Center of National Culture.

  • The Center for Interethnic Cooperation held conferences, trainings and seminars for the leaders of youth organizations in Moscow, Anapa, Astrakhan, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Pyatigorsk, Samara, Yaroslavl, Amsterdam and youth summer camps in the Republic of Karelia, and the oblasts of Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Samara.
