The Center for Interethnic Cooperation held conferences, trainings and seminars for leaders of national communities in Anapa, Astrakhan, Arkhyz, Volgograd, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Ekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Omsk, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Pyatigorsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Sochi, Stavropol, Smolensk, Togliatti, Chapayevsk, Yaroslavl, London, Amsterdam, Milan, Yerevan and on Malta.

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation held seminars with the participation of scientists and experts in Moscow, Anapa, Arkhyz, Yerevan and Pyatigorsk.

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation held conferences and seminars for teachers of secondary school, municipal employees and journalists in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kondopoga and Perm.

  • Organization of press-conferences and meetings with journalists

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation organized press-conferences and meetings with journalists in Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara, Petrozavodsk, Pyatigorsk, Perm, Yaroslavl, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk.

Youth summer camps in the Republic of Karelia, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Samara Oblast

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation held Evenings of Friendship and lessons of tolerance in Moscow, Petrozavodsk and Kondopoga.

  • Organization of and support for the network of national organizations

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation organized and supports the network of national organizations in Russia.

  • Cooperation with the UN, the Council of Europe and the OSCE

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation has Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation participated in the UN World Conference against Racism and Xenophobia (in 2001 in Durban), in conferences of the UN in Geneva and Paris, in seminars and conferences of the Council of Europe in Strasburg and Geneva, in conferences of the OSCE in Alma-Ata, Bucharest and Warsaw. With the support of the Council of Europe the Center held in 2001 and 2003 four educational seminars dealing with the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities in which experts of foreign countries took part. The Center for Interethnic Cooperation assisted the Council of Europe and the OSCE to organize meeting with representatives of Russian NGOs in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar.

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation has partners: NGOs in the US, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany and Malta

  • Support of the volunteer movement

Young people from Russia, the US, Canada, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, China and Pakistan have been working as volunteers in the Center for Interethnic Cooperation.

  • Interaction with state structures of the Russian Federation

According to the order of the Deputy General Prosecutor of the RF V. Y. Grinya, the Director of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation A.A. Ayrapetyan was included in a working group of the Office on the supervision of legislation implementation on federal security, international relations and reaction on extremism of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the RF.

The program Director of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation Victoria Shukhat was in included in the Expert Council on legislative support of the development of civil society in the Federation Council Commission on the development of civil society institutions.

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation won the second place in the category “Internet, ethnic media” in the All-Russian competition of mass media information for the best coverage of topics of interethnic interaction of the peoples of Russia and their ethno-cultural development “SMIrotvorjets” in 2008.
