St. Petersburg: Three Uzbeks arrested for beating up African students In St. Petersburg the police arrested three citizens of Uzbekistan who are suspected in the assault and battery of two foreign students of the St. Petersburg State University. This announcement was made by the information department of the Administration of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The incident occurred in the evening of November 2nd on Dvinskaya Street. Three citizens of Uzbekistan who are staying in St. Petersburg without registration are accused in the beating of two students who are in their second year at the St. Petersburg State University of Water Communications. One victim, are citizen of Sudan, was delivered to hospital with a cerebral concussion; the second, a citizen of Zimbabwe, did not require medical aid.
