During this session the official report of the Russian Federation concerning the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination was heard. With otherRussian NGO representatives Larissa Bitkaeva presented the Alternative Report of Russian Non-Governmental Organizations on the same subject.Larissa Bitkaeva at a training session of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights "Strengthening the implementation of the human rights treaty recommendations through the enhancement of national measures"According to the Center for Interethnic Cooperation’s figures, representatives from 30 Russian cities took part in these activities, including 162 national association leaders, representing 42 nationalities and 39 administration employees. The Center created the online newspaper “INTERETHNIC”. During December 2003 more than 4000 Internet users have familiarized themselves with the publications of our online newspaper. The Center for Interethnic Cooperation has created and supported an online Network of National Associations, which includes 160 ethnic associations from 46 cities of Russia.
